Yep, thats right I have added ‘participate in Gumball 3000’ to my Bucket List! If you know what this is then, you probably totally agree with me. Who doesn’t want to ride 3000 miles in a really fast car and have a great big party for multiple days in a row! Seriously, sign me up!

I have been a little bit obsessed with fast, sexy cars lately. I have been wanting to drive a car really fast just for the hell of it. I guess it makes some sense though, when I was younger I said I was going to be a Nascar driver. Now I just want a sexy car and I want to drive it really fast.

My husband brought Gumball 3000 to my attention when I kept going on about how cool it was that David Gandy (a male model) was participating in the Mille Miglia, a race that is sort of similar but not nearly as many miles (only 1,000) and the cars have to be before the year 1957.

I was going on about how it would be so cool to participate in something like that, but with cars that were newer and faster. Which is when my husband said “There is a race like that.” and I got all wide eyed and responded “What?! Really?! I want to do it!” And now I have added participating in the Gumball 3000 to my bucket list. 

When my husband asked me what car I wanted to drive the first one I thought of was the R8. I know, I know, there are a lot of other cars that are sexier and can go faster but the R8 has been on my dream car list for a while so it is always the first car I think about when dreaming with car scenarios.

You may recognize this sexy beast from Iron Man. That is where I first fell in love with the R8. Now I just love it and want one. I have it pinned to my mental when I win the lotto list.

Then there is this baby!

There is a Lotus Elise that I have seen driving around where I live and I scream just a little bit every time I see it. It just looks like so much fun, and I want to drive it. FAST! The car pictured above is a Lotus Exige. Look at how sexy it is!

{There are many other cars that I dream about as well, but I will save all my car dreaming for a different post.}

Now if you don’t know what the Gumball 3000 is I will tell you a short and sweet version of it. It is a race rally that happens annually, usually in a different location from the year before. This year is the 15th anniversary of the Gumball 3000 and is starting out in Copenhagen, Denmark and will take those participating through 12 countries and span 3000 miles, ending the race in Monaco.

The Gumball 3000 race is actually taking place right now, it runs from Saturday May 18th until Saturday May 25th for 2013, you can watch live feed of it here.

So here is to maybe some day actually owning a super sexy fast car. I would totally just settle for sitting in the passenger seat and go along for the ride too though. Watch out Gumball 3000 I am coming to you one of these days. Probably one of the years that you are back in the good ol’ U.S of A!
